“I was pretty excited when receiving the honor because it is the approval of my supporting work and it serves as the highest prize for me. Though I don’t hold the post now, I have become a family member of Dayuan Village. I will continue to support and care about its development and come back frequently,” said Liu.

 

At the conference the branch and committee awarded him the honor and appreciated him for his efforts to develop Dayuan Village in the past 9 months. 

 

 

Back to May 27, 2021, the working team came to Dayuan Village with Liu who acted as the first secretary and the leader of the working team.

 

He made an overall plan and a work plan for rural revitalization in 2021 in Dayuan Village, based on villagers’ basic conditions, fundamental needs and the agricultural development status that he clearly knew through two-month careful research.

 

During this period, Liu and his colleagues have gained great achievements in various projects such as environment improvement, roads building, lighting and hydraulic engineering and planting base construction of flue-cured tobacco. They have discussed with numerous companies in Chenzhou City and given their suggestions about the siting, investment, building scale and many other aspects.

 

Meanwhile, they held activities to improve people’s conduct in daily life.

 

Specifically, they set relevant standards and prizes to enhance the spiritual culture in individuals, families and villages and ensure a clean and livable environment for residents.

 

They also promoted virescence development, toilet renovation and reform of sewage pipe networks. Besides, they upgraded athletic and cultural facilities by making an approach to a local company for sponsorship.

 

As a result, the basketball courts in the primary school and culture square in Dayuan Village have been installed with plastic floor assembly and over 500 books have been added in to the library as well.

 

Now, people have a better life here and the improvement couldn’t be achieved without their efforts. “Liu is definitely the honored villager. We all appreciate his efforts and are proud of him!” said the local residents.
